Bescot Banter - Walsall FC NewsFollowing the news that he will be leaving the club when his contract expires at the end of June, Conor Wilkinson has taken to social media to thank the club and its fans for their support during his time in WS1.

Conor, who missed much of the 2022/23 campaign through injury, made fifty-nine first-team appearances and scored thirteen goals during a two-season spell in the Black Country.

Published via his official Instagram feed, Conor said; "And just like that the chapter is closed, it’s been the toughest 2 years of my career so far, 2 surgeries & 12 months lost due to injury, but in football these things happen and I’m gutted it couldn’t of ended better.

"I’d like to thank everyone involved with the football club, who stood with me through the rough times and smiled through the good.

"A massive thank you to the fans, you stuck with me through the good & the bad, I tried my best to repay you and had some touching times that will stay with me forever.

"I wish everyone involved with the club nothing but good luck and success."
