Walsall boss Michael Flynn has spoken to the local press and revealed that some of the Saddlers' ownership group Trivela will be visiting WS1 over the next week as they begin to plan for the future.
Flynn, who was speaking after seeing his side draw with Sutton United at the weekend, confirmed that co-chairman Ben Boycott and Matt Jordan will begin preparations for the upcoming Transfer Window and the summer break too.
The gaffer has made no secret of his happiness with the ownership group, and is adamant that they have the club's best interests in mind and believes they will help the club go from strength to strength over the coming years.
Speaking via the Express & Star, Flynn said; "Every manager will want as big a budget as can get, but I’m here, a custodian of Walsall Football Club, so to speak, the club will be long after I’ve gone and the players.
"It’s a special club run in the right way, the new owners have got really solid, achievable ambitions, they’re not here to make a quick buck.
"They’re not here to gamble and jeopardise the club, I’ve had nothing but positive chats with the owners and Leigh about taking the club forward and next week, from Monday, they’re over for a week and it’ll be a busy week where we’ll be planning not only for January but for next season as well."
