David Okagbue Linked with League One Switch

The defender is apparently attracting interest from a couple of mid-table League One teams.
Bescot Banter - Walsall FC NewsWalsall defender Davis Okagbue is reportedly attracting interest from clubs in League One with Peterborough United and Wigan Athletic said to be keeping tabs on his progress.

21-year-old Okagbue made fifty-four Saddlers appearances last season after arriving on a permanent basis from Stoke City in July 2024, following a loan spell during the previous campaign.

An Ireland Under-21 international, Okagbue was a ley part of the Saddlers' defence that ultimately lost to AFC Wimbledon in the League Two Play-Off Final after seeing a once-commanding top-of-the-table lead drift away.

Walsall have already added to their backline this summer, with the likes of Vincent Harper, Mason Hancock, and Courtney Clarke making their way to the Pallet-Track Bescot Stadium.
