Walsall Football Club have confirmed the departure of Head Coach Matthew Taylor following the Saddlers' Sky Bet League Two defeat to Scunthorpe United.

The defeat, which saw Iron defender Jai Rowe net the only goal of the game with ten-minutes of the first-half remaining, was the Saddlers' seventh defeat in as many games and saw them slip closer to the drop zone.
 
In a statement, released via the club's official website, Saddlers.co.uk, they confirm;  Walsall Football Club have parted company with Head Coach, Matt Taylor.
 
Neil McDonald and Mat Sadler will take temporary charge of first-team affairs. We would like to thank Matt for his efforts and wish him well in the future.
