Douglas James-Taylor Expected to Reject New Contract as Transfer Link Emerges

23-year-old James-Taylor has made the most of his time with Drogheda United, attracting the interest of other clubs.
Bescot Banter - Walsall FC NewsWalsall striker Douglas James-Taylor is expected to reject the club's offer of a new contract at the Pallet-Track Bescot Stadium in favour of a permanent move to the League of Ireland.

Despite being on-loan with fellow Trivela Group side Drogheda United, a side who he helped secure the FAI Cup, DJT is set to join Bohemians, who are believed to have tabled an attractive contract offer.

Moving to WS1 from Stoke City in the summer of 2023 following a short-term loan spell, Douglas has made a total of sixty-three first-team appearances in a Walsall shirt, scoring five goals.

Joining the Drogs on loan in May of last year, Douglas has enjoyed a successful time at Sullivan & Lambe Park, scoring fifteen goals across thirty-five appearances, including the winning goal against Derry City in the FAI Cup Final.
