Walsall defender Joe Foulkes and midfielder Joe Willis are currently away on short-term loan deals as they look to force their way into Matthew Taylor's first-team plans.

Defender Foulkes is plying his trade in the Vanarama National League North with Kidderminster Harriers, whilst midfielder Willis is with Southern League Premier Division Central side Bromsgrove Sporting.

Joe Foulkes was an unused substitute as Kidderminster, backed by some 803 travelling fans, made the trip to New Bucks Head to take on AFC Telford United on Saturday afternoon.

The match itself was a close-run affair, with Nathan Cameron's goal being enough to separate the sides and secure three welcome points for the visiting Harriers.

Midfielder Joe Willis was initially named on the bench as the Rouslers played host to Rushall Olympic at the Victoria Ground on Saturday afternoon.

However, after conceding some four goals after just thirty-two minutes of play, was called into action alongside fellow sub Mitch Candlin - the former Saddler recently joining Sporting - as manager Gavin Hurren looked to settle his side.

The subs worked, at least in terms of stopping the rot, as second-half goals from former Pics forward Jonathan Letford (82') and former Saddler Will Shorrock (85') halved the deficit as the visitors were able to hold firm and take all three points.
