Loan Watch: Foulkes Scores But AFC Fylde Grab All Three Points

Here we take a look at how the loaned-out Saddlers are getting on.

Defender Joe Foulkes, who penned his first professional contract alongside Danny Coogan in June, is currently the only Saddler out on loan as he enjoys a short-term stay with Kidderminster Harriers.

Scheduled to remain with the Harriers until early January 2022, Joe has been in superb form for the Aggborough side, earning plenty of plaudits along the way.

Foulkes retained his place in the starting XI as Kidderminster faced AFC Fylde in National League North, with the match taking place at Fylde's Mill Farm ground.

After losing former Walsall trialist Omari Sterling-James to an early knee injury, the Harriers were dealt another blow as the home side went ahead after Nick Haughton lashed a shot into the corner of the net.

There were no further goals during the rest if the first half, but that wasn't the case for the second forty-five, as Joe Foilkes grabbed another goal, putting his side back on level terms and adding to his growing list of admirers.

Despite goalkeeper Luke Simpson producing several fine saves, the visitors were still able to snatch the match-winning goal as second-half substitute Stephen Dobbie took advantage of some sloppy defending to slot the ball home, with what was his first real touch of the game.

A disappointing result for Kidderminster, with an error at the back costing them at least a point.
