There are a handful of Saddlers currently out on loan, with players from the academy and first-team looking to impress and potentially force their way into the first-team.

Despite being forced off with an injury midweek, Stan Straw started as Redditch United and Needham Market played out a six-goal Southern League - Premier Central thriller at the Trico Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

Needham opened the scoring with seven minutes on the clock when Luke Ingram struck home from the penalty spot.

Another goal from Ingram, along with an effort from Liam Pearce, gave the visitors a three-goal lead before the hour mark, only for Redditch to mount a superb comeback.

United's first came via Alezandro Da Silva midway through the second half, with William Fielding following up just a minute or so later.

The match looked to be going the way of the visitors before Dan Sweeney netted in the sixth minute of second-half stoppage time to secure a point for his side.

Will Etheridge started and provided an assist as Stourbridge defeated Kettering Town in the Southern League - Premier Central at the War Memorial Ground.

Taking the lead via Charlie Pavey, the Glassboys went on to build a comfortable four goal lead when former Walsall scholar Charlie Wragg bagged a hat-trick, with his first assisted by Etheridge.

The Poppies got a goal via Jaiden White late in the second-half, but that was no more than a consolation as their hosts eased to victory.

Vincent Harper was a second-half substitute as Exeter City lost 2-1 to League Two leaders Salford City at the AIG Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

Despite taking the lead via Sonny Cox's goal in the first-half, the Grecians were unable to halt the rise of the Ammies as second-half goal from Luke Garbutt and Will Aimson saw them maintain their strong start to the season.

Harper replaced goalscorer Cox just short of the seventy-minute mark, but was unable to provide assistance as City slipped to defeat.

Jago Godden was named on the bench as Drogheda United took on Galway United in the League of Ireland Premier Division on Friday evening.

The match saw two goals scored as Bradley Kavanagh and Mark Doyle netted in either half to secure three welcome points for the Drogs.

Jago was afforded thirty minutes of action as he replaced goalscorer Kavanagh, with an hour on the clock.
