Walsall Head Coach Brian Dutton has spoken to the local press and insisted he will continue to plan for the future, even though his own is yet to be confirmed.
Despite recently securing the futures of several midfielders, many of the current crop are due to be out of contract in the summer and Dutton admitted there will be plenty of changes over the coming weeks and months.
The former Development coach, who recently guided his side through a six-game unbeaten spell before suffering two defeats in a week also admitted that he only recently began contract negotiations with many players as he sought to secure safety before planning for next season.
Speaking to the Express & Star's Walsall correspondent Liam Keen, Dutton, who is himself facing an uncertain future in WS1 with his contract set to expire at the end of June, said; "We had to get ourselves in the position where we had EFL safety for next season and then plan accordingly.
"We have that now, albeit not mathematically, so the wheels will be in motion. But believe you me, there will be a turnover of players at the football club.
"The fans deserve better and we’re in this position for a reason. We’ve sold good players and we haven’t replaced them.
"We’ve lost good players to injury and they haven’t been replaced. It’s important that the guys that come into the football club are a representation of myself and the club. It’s going to be a high turnaround."
