Walsall Bidding to Re-Sign Birmingham City Midfielder George Hall

The Saddlers are understood to be closing in on the signature of a popular loan star.

Walsall are believed to be close to securing the services of Birmingham City midfielder George Hall, on a permanent basis.

Potentially arriving at the Pallet-Track Bescot Stadium for a nominal fee, the deal to sign Hall will likely include several clauses that could see the Blues earn a large portion of any potential fee for a future transfer.

The 20-year-old enjoyed an impressive spell in WS1 last season, scoring three goals across twenty-two first-team appearances, including a crucial match-winning goal against Crewe Alexandra in early May.

Hall, who can also operate on the wing, broke through to the Blues' first team aged just 17 and has scored two goals across forty Championship appearances.

A product of City's academy system, George is also a former England Under-19 international and also scored two goals across his six appearances for the Young Lions.
