Fears for Flo - Injury-Hit Midfielder to be Assessed

Saddlers midfielder Florent Cuvelier is to be assessed following last weekend's disappointing defeat to Northampton Town.
Walsall manager Jon Whitney has spoken in the aftermath of Saturday's League One defeat to Northampton Town, and discussed the injury to midfielder Florent Cuvelier, who was felled by Cobblers midfielder Matt Crooks midway through the first-half.

Jon, who was speaking to several members of the local press, insisted that the challenge was a poor one and should've resulted in a booking for the Northampton man, he said; "I thought the challenge on Flo was a really bad tackle. I thought the referee should have booked the lad at least. The referee got the big decision right with Ama at the end. But I felt he should have set his stall out early with that one, that was a reckless tackle.

"It was as bad as Ama’s. But early in games you don’t seem to get those decisions. I feel for Flo, a lot has been said and after the Northampton game my thoughts were with Flo Cuvelier. It’s something in his knee. We are just hoping it’s nothing too sinister but we will see how it is and assess it again on Monday."
