Following Walsall Football Club's pre-season defeat to AFC Telford United, Saddlers manager Dean Smith spoke to the press and offered a brief update on the club's trialists.
Smith revealed that former Leeds United midfielder Zac Thompson, and Ex-Manchester United striker John Cofie, who had been with the squad for a few weeks, have not been offered contracts by the club, with the manager still considering his options ahead of the 2015/16 Football League campaign.
Speaking to Joseph Masi of the Express & Star, Dean said; "They all came in but we have told them there isn’t a contract for them at this time. I am looking for a centre-back and I’ve got someone coming in who will train with us and be involved on Saturday. You have to get the right ones in.”
