As we edge closer to the 2015/16 Football League campaign, Walsall manager Dean Smith has spoken to the local press and provided a brief update on his search for a strike partner for last season's top-scorer, Tom Bradshaw.

As we edge closer to the 2015/16 Football League campaign, Walsall manager Dean Smith has spoken to the local press and provided a brief update on his search for a strike partner for last season's top-scorer, Tom Bradshaw.

Speaking to the Express & Star, Smith said; “I’ve spoken with a striker but we now have to hang fire on that one.

“It’s a deal I want to get done but there is an issue with the club where the player is at now. It’s nothing our end and it’s a deal that I believed to be close. It’s just a case of hanging by the wayside now and waiting for an update.”
