Chelsea Football Club, along with the nineteen other FA Premier League sides, have today released their 'Released and Retained' list.

Amongst the players listed as 'Free Transfers' is former Walsall loanee Milan Lalkovic.

The Slovakia Under-21 international joined Chelsea from MFK Košice in 2007 and signed professional terms in 2010.

During his time at Stamford Bridge he had loan spells with Doncaster Rovers, ADO Den Haag and Vitória de Guimarães.

Milan initially joined the Saddlers in July 2013 and made an instant impact by scoring in the 3-1 win over Tranmere Rovers on the opening day of the season, his loan was subsequently extended the following January.

He went on to score eight goals in thirty-eight first team appearances, however the latter part of his season was disrupted by a succession of hamstring injuries.

There is still a chance that Milan could remain wwith the Blues next season as the Premier League states that all players "signified as a "free transfer" or released by a club could remain there next season and so this list should not be seen as definitive for players leaving their club."

Milan's fellow-former Walsall loanee Michael Ngoo is also to be released by his parent club Liverpool.
