This afternoon's pre-season meeting between Walsall and UEFA Europa League winners Aston Villa will be extra special as the Saddlers will be joined by representatives of the Walsall Society for the Blind. The local charity, which is based in Hawley House on Hatherton Road, provides expert support, advice and guidance to those affected by sight loss. The charity has provided a lifeline to the visually impaired since 1885, and their specialist support services are available to anyone in the Walsall area affected by sight loss.
Walsall FC has a special relationship with Walsall Society For The Blind, with a partnership between both parties back in 2020, and since then the club has worked with the charity to play its part in helping the community.
Ahead of this afternoon's game, fans are being encouraged to help fund the fantastic work that Walsall Society For The Blind does by bringing a pound to the ground.
Their volunteers will be on site throughout the afternoon accepting donations from everyone in attendance, and your support is hugely appreciated as always by everyone involved.
