The January Transfer Window in England is due to close at 7.00pm on Monday evening, leaving Walsall boss Mat Sadler just a few hours to get any deals over the line.Although Walsall signed Alex Pattison, Kacper Lopata, Aaron Loupalo-Bi, and Alfie Chang during the transfer window, they still lack players in crucial positions as they attempt to avoid a repeat of their collapse from the previous season, which ultimately resulted in their defeat in the League Two Play-Off Final.
In terms of outgoings, Levi Amantchi signed a permanent contract with National League team Gateshead after completing a loan spell with Rochdale, while loanees Daniel Cox, Ryan Finnigan, and Jid Okeke returned to their parent clubs.

9.00AM: Midfielder Lewis Warrington has completed a free transfer to Walsall's League Two rivals Tranmere Rovers after his Saddlers contract was mutually terminated on Sunday.
Warrington, who had penned a two-year contract at the Pallet-Track Bescot Stadium last summer, has signed a two-and-a-half-year deal at Prenton Park.

4.48PM: Walsall are said to be close to confirming the signing of Jid Okeke from Stockport County. Jid is expected to return to the club on loan for the remainder of the 2025/26 campaign.
Recalled by his parent club earlier in the month, 21-year-old Okeke originally joined the Saddlers on Transfer Deadline Day last summer and went on to make a total of eighteen first-team appearances, scoring once, during his time in WS1.
