Walsall have confirmed the Deadline Day signing of Stockport County defender Jid Okeke, who has returned to the Pallet-Track Bescot Stadium on loan.21-year-old Okeke originally joined the Saddlers on Transfer Deadline Day last summer and went on to make a total of eighteen first-team appearances, scoring once, during his stay in WS1.
Despite his initial deal being a season-long loan, Jid was recalled by County earlier in the month and went on to make three appearances before returning to the club.
Speaking via the club's official website, Head Coach Mat Sadler admitted he's pleased to see Jid back in WS1, he said: "I'm delighted to have Jid back.
"He's someone who we all know really well, and his drive and athleticism is something that he has in abundance.
"He's versatile and can operate in different positions, as we've seen, and he adds further competition for places.
"We're looking forward to working with Jid again, and we thank our colleagues at Stockport County for allowing him to continue his football with us between now and the end of the season."
Welcome back, Jid!
