Walsall will be back in action on Tuesday evening when they visit the Memorial Stadium and take on Bristol Rovers in Sky Bet League Two.NEWS & VIEWS
Walsall's winless run reached three games at the weekend, as they held fellow promotion hopefuls Chesterfield to a draw at the SMH Group Stadium.
Falling two goals behind with just twenty minutes played, the Saddlers battled back to secure a share of the spoils as Daniel Kanu and Albert Adomah scored, making it three draws in as many games.
While the drive to deny the Spireites the win was welcome, it can't be allowed to paper over the cracks as the team continues its steady fall down the table.
Going into Tuesday's trip in seventh place, the Saddlers are now ten points off the top of the table as leaders Bromley continue to make the most of other teams slip ups as we edge ever-closer to the end of the season.
TEAM NEWS
Despite limping off during the draw with Chesterfield, both Jamille Matt and Albert Adomah are expected to be OK, and could yet make the matchday squad.
On-loan Barnsley defender Kacper Łopata is facing a spell on the sidelines with a thigh injury he picked up in training.
Jake Hollman remains on the sidelines after suffering a hamstring injury against Northampton Town. Kemar Roofe and Harry Williams still have no return timeline and are on the long-term injury list.
THE OPPOSITION
After losing three games in a row, Steve Evans' side will reach their midweek clash with the Saddlers on the back of a welcome three-nil win over Newport County.
Goals from Yusuf Akhamrich, who netted a brace, and Fabrizio Cavegn saw the Pirates build a four point lead over the Exiles, who sit 23rd in the table.
