Walsall are reportedly set to confirm the Deadline Day signing of Stockport County defender Jid Okeke, who is set for his second loan spell in WS1.Originally joining the Saddlers on Transfer Deadline Day last summer, Jid went on to make a total of eighteen first-team appearances, scoring once, during his stay in the Black Country.
Despite his initial deal being a season-long loan, Jid was recalled by his parent club earlier in the month, and went on to make three first-team appearances ahead of today's potential return.
Walsall boss Mat Sadler had recently rebuffed the idea of Jid returning to the club, with the gaffer understanding he was closer to making a move to his native Germany.
