Walsall Appoint Two New Directors

There have been two new additions to the club's Board of Directors.
Bescot Banter - Walsall FC NewsWalsall FC has announced the appointments of Marc Koretzky and Barton Lee to the Club’s Board of Directors, both of which have now been approved by the EFL Owners’ and Directors’ Test.

Marc, Chief Operating Officer of Trivela Group, joined Trivela in April 2025. Before joining Trivela, Marc was Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Gallagher Enrollment Solutions, a benefits enrollment company within the global insurance and consulting leader Gallagher (AJG). Prior to that, he served as Chief Operating Officer of INDYCAR, directing the overall organisation across Commercial, Operations, and Competitive Divisions.

Earlier in his career, Marc worked as an independent consultant with high-profile clients including the National Football League (NFL), National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), and the National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing (NASCAR), helping drive strategic growth and operational improvements.

Joining alongside Marc is Barton Lee, who became Trivela Group’s General Counsel in July 2025. Prior to joining Trivela,

Barton spent 10 years in private practice with Butler Snow LLP, frequently working with Trivela in an advisory capacity.

Barton brings significant legal and corporate expertise, further strengthening the governance and strategic capabilities of the Club’s Board.

Both Marc and Barton will serve as Directors of Walsall FC, joining current board members Ben Boycott (Co-Chairman), Leigh Pomlett (Co-Chairman), and Ben Sadler (Chief Executive Officer).

Speaking about the new appointments, Co-Chairman Ben Boycott said: "We are delighted to welcome Marc and Barton to the Walsall FC Board of Directors.

"Both bring extensive expertise in their respective areas and proven leadership qualities.

"This expansion of the Board reflects our commitment to strong governance, which is a necessity for long term excellence in both operations and compliance.

Marc Koretzky added: "I am thrilled to join the Walsall FC board. Barton Lee said: "I am truly honoured and excited to join the board of Walsall FC. Alongside my fellow directors, I look forward to serving the club, its community, and its supporters in a way that upholds our core values and ensures our continued success both on and off the pitch."

In addition to strengthening governance at Board level, we are continuing to invest in our football operations. Vice President of Global Football at Trivela, Matt Jordan, continues to work closely with Men's First Team Head Coach Mat Sadler, with recruitment set to be further enhanced by the appointment of a new Head of Recruitment. The Club also benefits from the expertise of Associate Director Richard O’Kelly, who brings a wealth of football knowledge and experience to the structure.

The appointments of Marc and Barton mark another important step in strengthening the leadership and governance of Walsall FC as the organisation continues its ambitious plans for long-term growth and success.
