Trivela Group Issue Statement as UEFA Issue Arises

Trivela Group has issued a statement admitting it is currently in contact with UEFA as an issue has arisen.
Bescot Banter - Walsall FC NewsWalsall Football Club owners Trivela Group appear to be in something of a quandary as one of the Group's other clubs recent qualified for European competition.

Along with the Saddlers, Drogheda United and Trivela FC in Togo, Trivela also invested in Danish side, Silkeborg IF, who have reached the qualification stage of the UEFA Conference League, meaning UEFA's rules regarding multi-club ownership will soon come into force.

In a statement, released via Drogheda's official website, the Group state: Drogheda United Football Club can confirm that it has been engaged in ongoing discussions with UEFA in recent months regarding a regulatory matter that has now arisen following Silkeborg IF’s qualification for the UEFA Conference League qualifiers.

As supporters will know, Silkeborg IF is also part of the Trivela Group ownership structure, which includes Drogheda United.

UEFA’s regulations regarding multi-club ownership and participation in UEFA Club Competitions require careful consideration, and the club has been working proactively with the relevant authorities.

At this time, due to the confidential and ongoing nature of the process, Drogheda United is unable to provide further comment.

However, the club remains committed to transparency and will provide updates as soon as there are any significant developments to share.

We appreciate the continued support and understanding of our fans, partners, and wider community.

Of course, the Saddlers will not be impacted by the ongoing issues, but a potential sale of the Drogs would cut a potentially fruitful relationship between the two clubs, with the likes of Evan Weir and  Elicha Ahui already making their way to WS1.
