Walsall Academy Secures New Sponsor Ahead of 2023/24 Campaign

The youngsters' kits will have a different sponsor to that of the first-team.
Bescot Banter - Walsall FC NewsThe Club has confirmed that S&S Steelstock will be the new sponsors of the Walsall Academy, for the next three seasons.

Their logo will don the front of the home, away, and third shirts up until the end of the 2025/26 season.

Following the announcement of the brand new sponsorship, S&S Steelstock Directors Chris Downs, Barry Collins and Jon Elwell expressed their delight at partnering with the Saddlers.

Speaking via the club's official website, he said; "As lifelong Walsall FC fans, we were delighted to enter this partnership agreement with the club for the next three seasons.

"As current sponsors of two local grassroots football teams, we felt that the step up to supporting our very own Football League club was an amazing opportunity, and a complete honour and privilege to be able to aid Rob and his team to bring the next generation of Academy prospects hopefully through into the first team.

"As fans, we appreciate how important the structure of the Academy is for the future of our club. We look forward to continuing our strong partnership with Walsall Football club in other areas, in the years to come."

Academy Manager Rob Williams added: "All of us here at the Academy are thrilled that S&S Steelstock will be sponsoring our programme for the next three seasons.

"The enthusiasm and energy that Chris, Barry and Jon have shown to support our young players has been overwhelming.

"They have already been introduced to the scholars and FT staff and I can't wait to introduce them to all of our players and parents over the coming weeks and months.

"Their support will be invaluable in supporting our work and player pathway."

Head of Commercial Adam Brearley describes the new sponsorship as a unique partnership and one that he is excited to see grow over the coming seasons, he said; "This is a unique partnership in the sense that Chris, Barry and Jon are lifelong supporters and are hugely passionate about the Football Club and Academy.

"Following on from various gestures such as reimbursing supporters for the coach travel and match tickets from the Colchester game last season, S&S Steelstock have now decided to enter a formal sponsorship agreement of the Academy, of which we are delighted and excited about how this will support Rob, his team and the player pathway."
