Walsall Head Coach Michael Flynn has spoken to the local press and offered an update on the injury status of three of the Club's long-term absentees, with one offering a welcome boost.
After seeing the recent meetings with Salford City and Crewe Alexandra postponed due to frozen pitches, the boss has had extra time to work with his squad on the training pitches at Essington, leading to some much-needed positive news.
After appearing on the bench against Carlisle United in the FA Cup, his first matchday appearance in some eight months, striker Conor Wilkinson is once again available for selection, with only Joe Riley and Joss Labadie remaining on the sidelines.
Speaking via the Express & Star, Flynn said; "We’ve got another week into Conor. He’s available for selection. I’m not going to start him but he is available.
"It’s just Joe Riley and Joss Labadie now who are on the treatment table. They’re still looking towards the end of January and mid-February, with two weeks here or there. We’ll know more towards that time."
