Walsall Head Coach Michael Flynn has spoken to club journalists and discussed Thursday's Oper Training Session, which gave fans the opportunity to see their team close-up ahead of this weekend's League Two meeting with Carlisle United.

Michael, who will be looking to guide his team back to winning ways after seeing them suffer three defeats in as many games, admitted he enjoyed meeting all of the supporters who visited the Banks's, and hopes they all had a good time.

Flynn, who has enjoyed a strong relationship with the Saddlers faithful since taking charge, admitted he was pleased to give the fans an insight into the hard work the players put in ahead of matchday.

Speaking via the club's official website, Saddlers.co.uk, Michael said; "Seeing all the kids and the adults enjoying themselves today, coming up to Easter Bank Holiday weekend, it was a nice touch.

"It was nice to see supporters away from the matchday hustle and bustle. It’s also important to keep these fans, especially the new generation coming through, loving their experience at Walsall Football Club.

"Obviously, there’s a game tomorrow so we haven’t done as much as we usually do in a midweek but they got a glimpse, they can see that the players are in good spirits, can see that we’ve worked on certain things.

"It’s a good insight but more of a personal insight than they get on matchdays."
