The England Men's Under-19s host a 2022 UEFA Under-19 EURO elite round group with Armenia, Portugal and Republic of Ireland as they bid to qualify for this summer’s finals in Slovakia.

That qualifying campaign will begin against the Irish at Walsall's Banks's Stadium on Wednesday, 23rd March, with kick-off scheduled for 7.30pm.

Ian Foster’s group will then welcome Armenia to Rotherham United's New York Stadium on Saturday, 26th March, with that game due to kick-off at 2pm, before rounding off the group against Portugal at 7.30pm on Tuesday, 29th March at a venue to be confirmed.

Only the group winners qualify for the Under-19 EURO finals, a tournament England has won once in its current guise, in 2017.

Speaking via the club's official website, Saddlers.co.uk, Foster said: “It’s great that we have home advantage for this final phase of our qualifying campaign and even better that it allows us to take our Young Lions around the country.

"We’re looking forward to visiting Walsall, where the backing will be vital in helping to get us over the line to qualify for the U19 EURO finals in Slovakia this summer.

"It’s rare that football fans get to witness the next crop of young England stars in their region, so we hope to see plenty of all ages come out to enjoy the unique experience of watching international football."

Walsall Football Club Chief Operating Officer Daniel Mole added; "We’re really pleased to be hosting England Under 19s at the Banks’s Stadium.

"It’s a testament to our long-standing relationship with the FA. We’re always proud to host the national team, and I’m sure it will be a great occasion."
