Carl Rushworth Named in the League Two Team of the Week

The stopper continues to pull off save after save as he makes the most of his time in WS1.

Walsall's on-loan Brighton & Hove Albion goalkeeper, Car Rushworth, has been named in the Sky Bet League Two Team of the Week.

Despite suffering a narrow 2-1 defeat away to Newport County - fellow loanee Tyrese Shade's first professional goal giving his side a chance to take something from the game - Carl has been recognised for yet another strong display, which saw him pull off a string of saves.

 

Rushworth, who has made nine first-team appearances since joining the club on a season-long loan in the summer, has been in fine form throughout the opening weeks of the season, and will be hoping he can add to his list of performances as he looks ahead to Saturday's clash with Bristol Rovers.
