Walsall defender Joe Foulkes, who penned his first professional contract alongside Danny Coogan in June, is currently the only Saddler out on loan as he enjoys a short-term stay with the Harriers.

Scheduled to remain with the Harriers until early January 2022, Joe maintained his place in the starting XI as Russ Penn's Harriers travelled to the Guardian Warehousing Arena and took on Sporting Khalsa in the Second Qualifying Round of the Emirates FA Cup.

Backed by some 350 fans, Harriers comfortably secured a place in the next round of the competition as they netted three second-half goals to pick up their first FA Cup win since 2018.

Goals from Sammy Austin (62') and Nyal Bell (72, 84'), who scored his first two goals for the club, were enough to break some stubborn Khalsa resistance, although the hosts did score via Jake Gosling (90'), but were unable to mount a comeback with the time allowed.

Joe Foulkes played for the full game, adding some much-needed match minutes as he looks to attract the attention of first-team manager Matthew Taylor, who will no doubt be keeping an eye on the young prospect.
