Ash Taylor 'Excited to Get Going'

Walsall's latest signing is keen to help the club progress.
Ash Taylor is a Saddler.
Following the news that he'd joined the club on a two-year deal, Ash Taylor has spoken of his delight as he begins a new chapter of his career in the Black Country.

30-year-old Taylor, a former Welsh Under-21 international who has played both in England and at the highest level in Scotland, insisted he wants to bring leadership to the newly rebuilt Saddlers.

With a wealth of experience under his belt, the Bromborough-born defender believes he can help the team progress and is keen to work under new head coach, Matthew Taylor.

Speaking via the club's official website, Ash said; "I’m delighted to get it all sorted, and I’m excited to get going.

"I’m looking to bring leadership qualities, I enjoy defending, and I like to keep clean sheets, that’s what I try to do first and foremost.

"Also, bring a bit of experience and know-how in terms of how to win games and take the club forward.

"The brand of football and the job the Head Coach wants to do at this football club is exciting, and I’m buying into what he wants to do, where he wants to take this football club, and that’s what I’m excited about."
