Liam Kinsella: "All I Can Do Is Apologise"

Liam Kinsella has issued an apology to fans as the team is set to end the season at an all-time low.
Liam Kinsella Issues an Apology.
Speaking after his side has slipped to defeat against Morecambe last weekend, Kinsella has apologised to supporters before admitting the 2020/21 season has not been good enough.

Kinsella, who was recently named Supporters' Player of the Season, is set to make his forty-sixth appearance of the campaign as the Saddlers end their season with an away trip to face Carlisle United.

Liam, who is now part of a team that has already ensured it will set a new record for the lowest finish in over one hundred years, insisted he will always play with his heart on his sleeve.

Speaking to the assembled media, Liam said; "You want to be known for the good stuff in football and now we’re known for that. It’s not good enough. I don’t want to be 19th in League Two, the lads don’t want to be there.

"Walsall don’t want to be there and especially the fans. All I can do is apologise for finishing the season where we are. It’s not good enough.

"I always play with my heart on my sleeve and give everything for this football club. I’ve been here since I was eight.

"For the lads, it’s a tough one. They’ve given everything they could, it just hasn’t been good enough in games.

"Some games we could have won and we didn’t, it didn’t go our way. But there hasn’t been enough performances to get three points."
