Darrell Clarke: Walsall 'a Million Miles' From Securing Another Signing

Walsall manager Darrell Clarke has spoken ahead of Tuesday evening's League Two clash with Morecambe and admitted he is a 'million miles' from landing the experienced winger he is hoping to add to his squad ahead of Transfer Deadline Day.
Clarke has already signed 18-year-old Jack Nolan from Championship side Reading along with the loan signing of Fleetwood Town midfielder Nathan Sheron but remains keen to add more experience to his team.

Despite weeks of searching the Mansfield-born manager insists the club aren't close to securing another signing but could get someone over the line soon as things often develop very quickly if both parties want a move to happen.

Speaking via the Express & Star, Darrell said; "I'm still looking to add an experienced wide player. As it stands at the minute we're a million miles away, out of our wage brackets at the minute to be honest, so we'll keep working away.

"We look after our money at this football club so we'll see what develops come the end of the window, because things can move quickly."
