Loan Watch: Saturday, 25th January 2020

Here we take our regular look at how the Saddlers' fringe players are doing as they look to force their way into the club's first-team plans.
Darrell Clarke has opted to loan out young defender Tom Leak and experienced midfielder Gary Liddle as they get some much-needed first-team football.

Tom Leak remains with BetVictor Southern League Premier Division South side Salisbury and continued his spell in the starting line-up as the Whites made the trip to the Avenue Stadium where they faced bottom-of-the-table Dorchester Town.

The match would be a comfortable affair for the visitors as goals from Toby Holmes (11'), Ollie Knowles (63'), Warren Bentley (68'), Dominic Jefferies (79'), and Dan Fitchett (88') saw them secure the win putting them just two points off the Play-Off places.

Gary Liddle's soon-to-be extended loan with Hartlepool United continued as the Vanarama National League outfit played host to Stockport County at Victoria Road on Saturday afternoon.

As with Tom Leak, Gary's side also kept their sheet clean as goals from Aidan Keena (31') and Mark Shelton (52') saw the Pools edge closer to the Play-Off places - making it four without defeat in the National League.
