Nicky Devlin: "Thanks For Your Support Throughout the Year"

Walsall right-back Nicky Devlin has become the latest player to take to social media and express his disappointment as the Saddlers ended the 2018/19 campaign in the relegation zone, and will spend next season in League Two.

Nicky, who joined the club from Ayr United in the summer of 2017, made forty-nine first-team appearances over the course of the season but was unable to prevent he club from ultimately succumbing to relegation following what had been a dreadful campaign.

Speaking via his official Twitter feed, Nicky admitted that although he was 'gutted' at the cub's relegation, he acknowledges that they were not good enough over the course of the season, before praising the club's support.

Devlin said; "Gutted how the season ended on Saturday, but over the season we’ve not been good enough. Thanks for your support throughout the year."
