Wednesday's Open Training Session Has Been Cancelled

Following Easter Monday's defeat to Wycombe Wanderers, and in light of the club's overall dismal 2018/19 campaign, Walsall FC have confirmed that Wednesday morning's Open Training Session, which was due to take place at Banks's Stadium, has been cancelled.
The Saddlers currently sit 23rd in Sky Bet League One, four points from safety, with just two games remaining, and, after suffering seven defeats in their last eight outings, are likely to face an up hill battle of they are to defy the odds and remain in the third tier of English football for at least another season.

Walsall, who are managed by interim boss Martin O'Connor, are due to play host to Play-Off chasing Peterborough United this weekend before taking on near-rivals Shrewsbury Town in the final game of the season in early May. Both fixtures are must-win, and even that may not see the Saddlers safe in League One for another season.

In light of recent results, and the current position we find ourselves in, tomorrow’s Open Training Session at the Banks’s Stadium has been cancelled.

With just two games left of the season and the club currently four points from safety, we do not feel it would be appropriate to hold an open session.

We apologise to all our supporters for any inconvenience caused.
