Amadou Bakayoko: Striker Could Depart Despite Extending His Saddlers Stay

Walsall striker Amadou Bakayoko, who recently extended his stay after the club took up an option for a further year, could still leave the club as several sides are believed to have expressed an interest.
According to reports first published on the Express & Star website, Bakayoko has suitors both in Britain and abroad with many seeing the Sierra Leone-born forward as a prospect who could still be developed.

It is understood that while 22-year-old Bakayoko, who has made over one-hundred first-team appearances over the last five seasons as a professional, is not transfer listed, the club would be willing to listen to sensible offers should interest grow.

It is being reported that several Championship clubs have expressed an interest with a move likely to be in the form of a loan switch which could turn into a permanent move should Baka impress during his time with the club.

Recently-promoted League One outfit Accrington Stanley are currently the only team to be named as an interested party but they are believed to have plenty of competition as we edge ever closer to the start of the 2018/19 campaign.

It is also believed that Bakayoko would be open to a move away after coming under plenty of criticism over recent years as he has struggled to score goals on regular basis, bagging only eighteen goals since making his first-team debut against Port Valer in April 2014.
