Walsall Release Sam Tonks and Rory Oliver

Walsall FC have confirmed that young professionals Sam Tonks and Rory Oliver have been released.
Walsall Football Club have confirmed that young professionals Sam Tonks and Rory Oliver have been released as their short-term deals come to an end.

News, released via Saddlers.co.uk, confirms; Rory signed his first professional contract in the summer of 2016 alongside Maz Kouhyar, Jordon Sangha and Kory Roberts. Unfortunately, he missed the entire 2016/17 campaign through injury and has been playing catch-up ever since. We have been rehabilitating Rory for over a year and will continue to work with him from a fitness point of view.

Sam signed a short-term contract in the summer but, despite featuring for the reserve team on a number of occasions, it was felt that it would be in the best interest of the player and club to part company.

We wish both players all the very best in the future.
