The Rumour Mill | Erhun Oztumer Continues to Attract Interest

Oztumer, who joined the Saddlers from Peterborough United last summer, is being tracked by clubs up and down the country.
As recently reported on our Twitter feed, Walsall attacking midfielder Erhun Oztumer is attracting plenty of interest from a whole host of clubs, both home and abroad.

In addition to our recent article linking him with a move to Turkey, it is believed that Erhun is also being tracked by several English clubs including the Saddlers' League One rivals Blackburn Rovers, Bury and Rotherham United, all of whom are keen to add to their squad as they target automatic promotion at the end of the upcoming campaign.

It is believed that 26-year-old, Greenwich born Oztumer, who won last seasons Players' Player of the Season award after scoring fifteen goals in forty-five first-team appearances, is keen to remain in the UK and hopes to play at Championship and Premier League level, but may be open to a return to Turkey if such a move is unavailable.

Erhun is entering the final year of his two-year deal with the Saddlers and talks over a new deal have already stalled leaving the club with a major dilemma should a suitable bid come in.

Walsall FC will not comment on speculation so we don't expect to hear any news about any potential transfer until fairly close to the conclusion of any negotiations which may take place.
