Scott Laird Leaves Scunthorpe United By Mutual Consent

2:18 pm Monday, 19 June 2017
It has this afternoon been confirmed that 29-year-old, Taunton-born Laird has left Scunthorpe United by mutual consent.
Scunthorpe United have this afternoon confirmed that former Walsall loanee Scott Laird has left the club by mutual consent.

29-year-old Laird, who is being linked with newly promoted Sky Bet League Two outfit Forest Green Rovers, joined the Iron from Preston North End in June 2015, and went on to make just thirty-nine first-team appearances.

Laird made thirty first-team appearances for the Saddlers during a season-long spell last season and became something of a fan favourite in the process.

We would like to wish Scott all the best as he begins a new chapter in his career.
