At Monday evening's Fans' Forum event, which saw Walsall Chief Executive Stefan Gamble and club Secretary and Director Daniel Mole answer supporters' questions for around two hours, it was revealed that the Saddlers have an out clause in their current kit deal with JD Sports.

The deal, which currently sees the Saddlers decked out in Carbrini shirts, shorts and socks, has proven to be very controversial as the manufacturer have once again failed to deliver any replica shirts to the club, less than a week before the opening day of the season.

Daniel Mole agreed that the situation is hugely frustrating and revealed that, despite the club signing off the design in February, they don't expect the shirts to be on sale to supporters until the middle of August, but continue to communicate with JD Sports in an attempt to bring the date forward.

Dan went on to confirm that the club have the option to end their relationship with JD Sports at the end of the upcoming EFL League One campaign.

As the delay continues, the club are missing out on a large amount of potential sales as at this time of year supporters often look to snap up their shirts and flaunt their beloved club on beaches around the world.
