Former Walsall loanee George Evans, who was recalled just hours before the Saddlers' Sky Bet League 1 clash with Bury on Saturday afternoon, has now completed his transfer from Barclays Premier League giants Manchester City to Sky Bet Championship side Reading.
Following the confirmation of the as yet undisclosed deal, George, who rejected a move to Brentford as he penned a three-and-a-half year deal at the Madejski Stadium, took to Twitter to discuss his transfer.
George said; "(I) Joined Manchester City at the age of seven & have enjoyed every minute at the club. I feel honoured to have had the chance to represent the club I support at every level & I'm grateful to everyone there for the time they have spent improving me not only as a player but also as a person.
"The time has come for me to take the next permanent step in my career, I am delighted to announce that I have signed a long term contract at Reading and can't wait to get started."
