Speaking to Saddlers.co.uk, Reece said; "It was another good test for us against a Premier League team. We played well throughout the game and created plenty of chances.
"I thought that we controlled it for large parts and had a lot of possession, so that is encouraging for us.
"Obviously we were disappointed to come away with a defeat and no goals to show for our efforts, but it was a worthwhile work-out for us.
"I was pleased with my own performance; I want to be involved and start as many games as possible. My aim is to be able to influence what we hope will be a good season for the club.
"I'm feeling great and have got a good pre-season under my belt. We're bringing a lot of talented young players through and it will stand us in good stead.
"Hopefully I can do enough to push myself into that starting line-up and stay there."
