Walsall Football Club attacker Ashley Grimes has spoken to the club's official website following Tuesday evening's Sky Bet League 1 draw with Sheffield United, and has discussed his desire to play some part in Sunday's Johnstone's Paint Trophy Final.
Speaking to Saddlers.co.uk, Ashley, who scored the Saddlers' equaliser just minutes after taking to the field, said; "Every time I get onto the pitch I want to impress, regardless of what the next game is. Obviously Sunday is going to be a massive occasion for everyone and hopefully I will play some part in it.
"It's always nice to get on the scoresheet and I was delighted to be able to make an instant impact. Once the equaliser went in, I thought we would go on and win and I was about to celebrate a second soon after, but it wasn't to be.
"We've shown what we are capable of in these past two games against two of the better sides in this League. It's been two positive performances, and even though we felt we should have had more points, we go into Sunday's game in good shape.
"We're looking to kick on now; it will be a great day at Wembley and we're going there to win but at the same time enjoy the occasion.
"We've come this far and have a determination to bring the trophy home for the fans."
