Walsall Football Club left-back Malvind Benning, who has been enjoying a loan spell with Sky Bet League 2 outfit Your City, has been recalled following an injury to current first-choice full back Andy Taylor during last weekend's Sky Bet League 1 draw with Milton Keynes Dons.

Mal could be set to appear for the Saddlers when they take on Sheffield United tomorrow evening as Andy Taylor is understood to have suffered a slight calf strain,and his current status for Sunday's Johnstone's Paint Trophy Final is unknown 


Benning was omitted from York's weekend squad to face Carlisle United following the Minstermen's loan signing of striker Shaq Coulthirst from Tottenham Hotspur, which put them above the limit of loan signings clubs are allowed to field in a matchday squad.

The 21 year-old, who is a product of the Walsall FC Centre of Excellence, has appeared nine times for The Minstermen since heading north in January.
