On Monday afternoon Walsall Football Club's Under 18s side travelled North to take on Preston North End Under 18s in the latest Football League Youth Alliance (North West) fixture of the season.

The Saddlers arrived at the game on the back of a 1-1 draw with Burnley, whilst North End were defeated by top-of-the-table Bury 2-1, last time out.

Monday's match ended all square, with neither side able to beat their respective opponents 'keeper.

The Saddlers had a raft of goalscoring opportunities but were unable to beat PNE stopper Ross Dalton.

Whilst at the other end, Saddlers' Dan Jezeph was once again unbeaten as he completes what we understand to be his tenth clean-sheet of the campaign.
