SUPPORTERS VS LEGENDS MATCH THIS SUNDAY

The Walsall Football Supporters' Trust's latest Supporters v Legends charity match, takes place this Sunday, 16th September, and will, once again be held at Rushall Olympics' Dales Lane Ground, tickets are priced at £3 for adults and £1 for concessions.

The match is open to ALL Walsall FC supporters, costs just £10 to play and is being held to raise funds not only for the Trust, but also for our three chosen charities and worthy causes for the 2012/2013 season, CRY (Cardiac Risk In The Young), Alzheimer's Society, and Bryntysilio OEC.

Trust FC Manager Craig Zecevic will be in charge of the supporters team, so please get in touch with him at [email protected] if you wish to take part in the match.

As with last season, there is plenty of opportunity to take part in the event in a non-playing role, as there are a number of mascot places available at a cost of £10 per mascot (own Walsall or England shirt preferred but not essential), and we are always looking out for volunteers to help out on the day as well as the donation of raffle prizes for the event. If you're interested in booking a mascot place, sponsoring the match in anyway, offering your services for a few hours, or simply wanting to make a donation to the event, please contact Trust Secretary Steve Davies at [email protected].

Following the  charity match a meeting will be held to formally launch the Walsall FC Ex-Players Association.

The Association is open to ALL former Walsall FC players and is to be run by a small committee which includes former Walsall, Wolves and England International goalkeeping legend Bert Williams MBE as Association President.

The Ex-Player Association is something Trust Secretary Steve Davies has been keen to get running for quite some time and following the Walsall Supporters v Legends match seems the ideal time to launch the association officially.
