The match sees the unbeaten Saddlers take on a Vale side that have won just one of their opening six league games, as they struggle to rebound from last season's relegation.
Derbyshire-based James Oldham will be the man in the middle this weekend. He took charge of two Walsall games last season, and presided over two Saddlers victories as they defeated Salford City in the league and Gateshead in the FA Cup under his authority. Oldham's only Vale game came in the form of a February defeat to AFC Wimbledon.
