Walsall boss Lee Grant has spoken to the media ahead of this weekend's League Two clash with Port Vale, and offered an update on two of his squad's injured players.Midfielder Alex Pattison and defender Roman Dixon haven't featured in recent squads, but Grant is hopeful at least one of them will be available for selection.
Speaking to George Bennett of the Express & Star, Grant confirmed that Pattison, who continues to recover from a hamstring injury, has returned to training, but isn't likely to feature, he said: "We’ve got to see.
"I would say this week has been mixed for Patto. So we’ll see how we go, but I’m not expecting him to be in the squad for us this weekend."
Moving on to talk about former Everton defender Dixon, Grant was happy to confirm that the summer signing has been in training all week, and could make it into the matchday squad. He continued: "Very good.
