Walsall have been linked with a move for Brighton & Hove Albion
forward Caylan Vickers, who, if confirmed is likely to move to the Pallet-Track Bescot
Stadium on a season-long loan.21-year-old Vickers is a product of the Reading and Brighton academy systems, having joined the Seagulls from the Royals in 2024.
A winger by trade, Caylan made fourteen first-team appearances for Reading but is yet to make a first-team appearance for his parent club.
Appearing for Brighton's Under-21s, he also enjoyed loan spells with the likes of Mansfield Town, Barnsley, and Wigan Athletic making a total of 43 appearances.
Walsall, who are believed to be ahead of several EFL clbs in the race for his signature, have enjoyed a strong start to the season, with goalkeeper Jed Ward yet to concede in normal time, bit have seen goals at the other end become something of a premium over recent games.
