Following the news that he'd become the Saddlers' second signing of the summer, Lewis Simper has expressed his determination to make the most of the opportunity that has been given to him.Joining Barnsley striker Andy Dallas in making the move to the Pallet-Track Bescot Stadium, the former Sutton United man wants to build a legacy at the club and become one of the first names on the teamsheet.
Speaking via the club's official website, Lewis said: "It feels amazing to be here.
"I had a zoom call with the gaffer a few weeks ago, and as soon as I heard of the interest and his plan going forward, I really wanted to get this done – the style of play I feel is really going to suit me, and I can’t wait to hopefully win lots of games.
"I’m a player who likes to run with the ball, create chances and ultimately excite people. I like to score goals too – I take immense pride in doing that, so the more I can score for the team, the better.
"I’m really hungry to be the best player that I can, I got some good experience at Cambridge and had a couple years earning my trade in the National League, so I’m now ready to take the EFL in my stride and be a real important player for the club."
