Walsall were back in Sky Bet League Two action on Saturday afternoon as they made the trip to the SO Legal Stadium and took on Barrow in their penultimate awayday of the season.
The opening goal of the game went the way of the Saddlers when Albert Adomah was on hand to poke the ball home after the Barrow backline failed to deal with the rebound following a saved Daniel Kanu shot.
Walsall doubled their lead in first-half stoppage time when Mason Hancock grabbed his first goal of the season as he was found in space by Charlie Lakin – the midfielder's corner-kick routine catching the Bluebirds cold.
The Saddlers' lead was further extended in the second forty-five when Mason Hancock added a second goal for the afternoon with a free-kick from the right which fooled the 'keeper and curled into the back of the net.
Barrow ave themselves a hint of a lifeline late in the second-half when substitute Jovan Malcolm scored from an acute angle to end the Saddlers' hopes of earing an all-too-rare clean sheet.
