Walsall made their way to North Wales on Saturday morning as they took on Wrexham in their latest EFL Youth Alliance - North outing of the season. After suffering a disappointing 5-0 drubbing at the hands of Stockport County in their most recent outing, the young Saddlers were hoping to return to winning ways with the scalp of the much-fancied Dragons.

As with last weekend's 5-0 defeat away to Stockport County, the first-half was goalless, with both defences able to thwart their opponents' advances and retain their clean sheet.
The second-half, however, was a different story, as the home side were able to construct a commanding three-goal lead and take the win.
Goals from Joe Rees (77'), Jac Jones (88'), and substitute Ollie McTweed (90+7') added to the Saddlers' recent woes as their search for a return to winning ways continues.
