Youth Alliance: Wrexham 3 Walsall 0

Ryan Simmonds' young Saddlers were back in action on Saturday morning.
Walsall made their way to North Wales on Saturday morning as they took on Wrexham in their latest EFL Youth Alliance - North outing of the season.

After suffering a disappointing 5-0 drubbing at the hands of Stockport County in their most recent outing, the young Saddlers were hoping to return to winning ways with the scalp of the much-fancied Dragons.

WREXHAM
O'Keefe; Clayton, Biggs, Cruise, Edwards, Wakenshaw, Murphy, Rees, Nawaz, J.Jones, Chesworth
Substitutes: Hall, Bedford, McTweed, Watkin, Graham

WALSALL

Substitutes: McLloyd Oben, Jaden Kandemiri, Younusa Kanyi, Finn Teesdale

As with last weekend's 5-0 defeat away to Stockport County, the first-half was goalless, with both defences able to thwart their opponents' advances and retain their clean sheet.

The second-half, however, was a different story, as the home side were able to construct a commanding three-goal lead and take the win.

Goals from Joe Rees (77'), Jac Jones (88'), and substitute Ollie McTweed (90+7') added to the Saddlers' recent woes as their search for a return to winning ways continues.

FULL-TIME
WREXHAM 3-0 WALSALL
